On May 20, 2016, the 14th China International Foundry Expo (hereinafter referred to asCasting Expo) came to a successful end in Beijing New Exhibition in Shunyi. voxeljet China and Metang Novatech showed the solutions and practical application cases of industrial 3D printing in the field of casting. Both voxeljet China and Metang Novatech not only consolidated the existed cooperative relations and but alsodeveloped a large number of potential customers.All above efforts may lay the foundations for the market expanding.
On the first day of expo, the executive director of voxeljet China and the general manager of Metang Novatech -Jintianshi together with the market director of voxeljet AG -Matthias held the press conferencefor the establishment of voxeljet China. As this Casting Expo coincided with 30 anniversariesof the establishment of China Foundry Association,the expo this year is in unprecedented scale whose exhibition area was up to 108000㎡.1300 exhibitors from 30 different countries and regions showed the forefront technologies, facilities, materials and offered integrated solutions to customers.The related 3D printing technologies have become the highlight of this expo. The 3D printing and digital casting display area was host by China Foundry Association,organized by voxeljet China,and co-organized by Metang Novatech.This area showed the digital manufacturing process of 3D printing including the technologies such as lightweight design of the components, casting simulation analysis, 3D printing, investment casting and rapid prototype etc.In addition,they also exhibited the voxeljet sand and PMMA 3D printer in the meantime,and intuitively interpreted how the 3D printing was applied to casting industry through on-site presentation. The advantages of 3D printing such as shortening the research and development cycle,flexibly applying to any complex geometries can compensate the traditional casting defects in maximum extent.
